One Thing I just Realized

Hey guys!

So sorry I haven't been updating for the past month(s)? School just started, and who knew being a Sophomore was so much work! You have projects due in a week, assignments every single day, and TONS of groupwork! It's such a pain in the ass sometimes, especially on those assignments that need to be encoded and printed, because I am not allowed to use any kind of technology whatsoever during school days- even for research, which I think is a stupid rule- and I'd have to go to the mall just to print something. Plus with all these groupworks and all your group mates are giving you a headache and you have to start bossing people around.

Yeah, being a Sophomore for me is a real REAL pain in the ass, but it hurt so good :) I've had awesome times too, like my first kiss, first love, first class you're in that doesn't bother the hell out of you with your very little and insignificant things. I know that usually those things come in your Freshman year, but I guess Sophomore year is meant to be my first year in High School to have some actual fun Weeeeeeee :D

Anyways, so today our class had like 30 minutes with our Guidance Counselor today, and the discussion reached to the changes in our country's curriculum (which I honestly think is STUUPID because you graduate High School like REALLY late like in your 20s. The good side is you can already get a job without needing to go to college, but I honestly think that you won't make it that far without a degree). I was pretty laid back about it (although on the inside I was pissed, because I badly want to go to CalArts and I don't wanna be in my late 20's when I graduate, but at the same time that would give me more time to get my crap together and build an awesome portfolio :D

But then our Social Studies teacher had to stand up and say....

"Yes, you will be graduating with the 8th grade batch. The only difference is that after graduation you can go straight to College, but they have to go through Senior High School."

My mind was all...

Did you just say that instead of 4 years to build an awesome CalArts portfolio, I've only got 2?

This was honestly starting to freak me out! I never had Life Drawing classes! I'm self-taught, and my life drawings are getting better and better (I promise you guys I'll post one when I have the chancee :D) but still! I don't feel ready to submit a portfolio in 2 years!

Well, I guess that was my wake up call.

So yeah, this is what's been happening in my life so far guys :) Sorry for the uber-long post! (:

A New Brush :D

So I'm playing with one of my new watercolor brushes on Photoshop for a graphic order:

Oh my GOSH! I am so happy with how it came out... You know how pastel-ish everything is.... Plus imgur finally had mercy on me and uploaded it with the best quality I have seen... :D Yayyy...

Quick Summer Drawing

Well, since I'm at home most times this summer, I'm depending on my photos of High School memories for practice... So here's one I've been working on recently:

I dug through some printed junk and found it... It brought a lot of emotions back to me... xD A girl thing, you know? As I took this picture (happy he didn't notice until he got tagged in the pic) it brought back that "this is amazing" moment I felt that month... It's not love, lol.. Just brought out some emotions into me...

Anyways, I know it's pretty sucky as of now. You can clearly see I'm struggling with his facial features. It's just that I rarely draw in that type of angle, but you know CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!

Okay, so let me explain why this drawing sucks to the top...

Okay number one.. I woke up with two messages and 3 or four FB messages from her, and she'd probably tear me alive if i didn't give her anything..

Number two.. I realized there wasn't enough space for my tablet on the desk, which explains the crooked mouth xD

Number three... Okay I don't have a third reason but you get the idea...

My name is Tatiana :) I love drawing (whether digitally or traditionally), writing stories and fanfics, and uhm… uhm…. Adventure Time… Yeah… I love Adventure Time a lot :)

I’m a typical teenager, physically. But mentally, I have an overactive imagination and a crazy perspective of the world. 

I live in the Philippines (which is weird given that I’m more american-ish) And I’m perfectly fluent in English with an american accent I can turn on and off (though I usually turn in on to pass my English oral exams :D) And no. I have never lived in America. So stop thinking Asians can’t speak English very well! >:ll

I’m in my second year of High School (but in US/CA/UK or whatever I’m probably in middle school). English is my mega strength… The other subjects are… uhm… OK I guess… :33

I love film, animation and drawing. I have been drawing since I was two (learned how to draw stick people with clothes before learning how to write) and I have been writing 30-chapter stories since I was nine. My love for these three things led me to dream of getting into the animation industry, and (for obvious reasons) going to school in top animation schools like CalArts, Sheridan and LCAD. Hey, a little girl can dream too.. ;D

My hobbies as of now are drawing (figure drawing, doodling, digitally, traditionally, whatever) writing novels (either fanfics or original work) and graphic designing for Taylor Swift's online forum.

So this blog is where my drawings, life updates and other stuff are going to be from now on... I hope you'll like it here :))
